To BE or not to BE? And if to BE, how? (Rationale for ELTI methodology)

Ok, we decided to BE (undertake Benchmarking Exercise). When thinking about the methodology, we considered three:
OBHE/ACU
ELTI
Pick & Mix

To make an informed decision, we reviewed the methodologies and read Pilot reports available that time on HEA Benchmarking blog site. Interestingly, ONHE/ACU and ELTI came equal in our informal voting. That promted additional discussions. The ELTI methodology won: it better suited our aims and objectives, had tools and facilitator’s guides available, had good reviews from users, and seemed to be doable!
